World of Warcraft Emotes

Everyone loves emotes! Emotes are pre-generated macro sayings and actions that just require the proper code (text/name) to activate. To perform an emote type "/emotename". You can create your own emotes by typing "/em text".

The text is changed based on who you have selected as a target. To remove a target, press the ESC key. If you do not have a target, most emotes will give special, sometimes especially funny text. If you select a specific person, such as yourself or another player, the text generated will often work that player's name into the text. Make sure you select the right person before doing the emote and give it a try: Type: "/thank". -> "You thank everyone around you."
Type: "/thank" (while selecting someone). -> "You thank Furen Longbeard." Some emotes have animations, some do not. Emotes with a x in the A column are animated.
Some emotes have voices, some do not. Emotes with a x in the V column are voiced by your character.

Listed below are the names of some emotes you can try. This should be a complete listing, as of April 2005.
